Discovery

Answering a legal complaint may lead to discovery requests from the Plaintiff. For additional fees we assist you in answering: Interrogatories and Admissions.

Interrogatories

Admissions

Self-Represented Litigants need to understand that they are acting as their own attorney and with that comes responsibilities even after they answer the initial complaint.  One of these areas is the process of Interrogatories.

Wex Legal Dictionary simply describes Interrogatory used in a civil action as a list of questions one party sends to another as part of the discovery process. The recipient must answer the questions under oath and according to the case's schedule. Normally attorneys may help their clients answer interrogatories, interrogatory responses so they tend to be more finely crafted than answers to deposition questions.

The number of questions included in an interrogatory is usually limited by court rule. In Collection lawsuits the number of questions tend to be around 8-12 questions sometimes more.

Answerlegalcomplaint.com has the format you need to answer each of these questions and properly address the Plaintiffs request for discovery.  Using our software it makes it easy to respond.  We cannot offer any legal advice as to how you answer these questions but feel free to contact Legal Aid Society or attorneys who are able to give you legal advice if needed.

When Plaintiff’s law firms sends a copy of Request for Admissions it is their way of trying to obtain certain admissions from you as a Defendant.  This is normally done outside of court and between the two attorneys, but since you are Self-Representing you must respond to these requests in a timely fashion.

Wex Legal Dictionary describes it as “A person's, in particular a party's, statement acknowledging that a certain fact is true or silence after another party's assertion of a fact that, if false, would typically elicit a denial. 2) Admission by a party-opponent: an out-of-court statement by a party that is against the party's interest and that is admissible against the party, because admissions by party-opponents are not considered hearsay.”

Answerlegalcomplaint.com software helps you to effectively admit or deny these assertions.  However, as always we cannot give you legal advice and you should seek information and advice from Legal Aid Society or an attorney.
